• Yam

  • Boil yam until very soft then pour water into the cooked yam and mash to form a paste.
  • put the pot back on the heat
  • add in palm oil and blended pepper.
  • add in crayfish and smoked fish
  • taste for salt and seasoning.
  • add fresh fish, more water if you prefer your soup lighter.
  • finish off with chopped Ugwu leaves.
  • cover and let steam on medium heat for 3 minutes.
  • serve!!
